Will they be able to stop Silas? That’s the big question in the fifth season of “The Vampire Diaries”. To get ready for the battle and the rest of the season here are a few things you need to know before the season premiere.
No.1—Elena and Caroline Have a New Enemy
While at Whitmore, Elena and Caroline are going to have a professor named Dr. Max Wesfield who is quickly identified as someone who can’t be trusted. According to Entertainment Weekly Wesfield will be played by Australian actor Rick Cosnett.
No. 2—Katherine May be Human but She's Still in the Thick of Things
Being human won’t stop Katherine from causing her usual amount of trouble. She’ll start by moving into the Salvatore house. Although some fans may think this will cause problems for Elena and Damon, that might not entirely be the case. It seems Silas may have his eye on Katherine. His plans for her are still unknown. Something tells me that even if she finds out he’s not Stefan, that won’t stop her from being his “friend.”
No. 3—Silas Won’t Keep Up the Stefan Rouse Forever
When we return to Mystic Falls, Silas is still posing as Stefan. One source told TVGuide over the summer, “It won’t be long” till people realize Stefan isn’t acting like himself.
The source added: “But before [everyone figures it out], get ready to witness the most awkward reunion ever when the Salvatores literally hug it out after their summer apart. You'd think that a hug from Stefan would be Damon's first clue that something is up!”
“The Vampire Diaries” returns tonight 8/7c on The CW.
