Watch Dogs PC Specifications Leaked: Ubisoft Refutes Claim

While the Watch Dogs fan followers are eagerly waiting to get their hands on the next open world sci-fi game by Ubisoft, the French game developer accidentally revealed the specs for the PC edition prior to the game release.

However, these specs have been contradicted by Sebastian Viard, the graphics technical director for Watch Dogs, on Twitter, Thursday, claiming the details to be incorrect.. "Hello. It is not the official configs. The real specs will come out soon and will be lower than these," reads the Twitter post by Viard.

Within a few hours the PC edition specifications revealed on the official game site were pulled back by Ubisoft although NeoGAF managed to get their hands on the details. The Watch Dogs lovers may be slightly disappointed as the earlier details if confirmed will result in some high end specifications like 64- bit OS, 20GB of HDD space and DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound cards with the latest drivers for the game that may not get supported across all the systems.

The revealed specifications detailed by NeoGAF are as follows:

The minimum requirements to play Watch Dogs are a DirectX 11 GPU with at least 1GB of Video RAM, along with a quad core CPU accompanied by 4GB of RAM. GPUs include NVidia GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5770, a DIntel Core2 Quad Q6600 or AMD Phenom X4 9750 as the Central Processing Unit (CPU).

The users aiming for a recommended specifications will need to have a DirectX 11 GPU with 2GB of memory and an eight-core CPU along with 8GB of RAM. For example, the gamers may go for a Nvidia GTX 560 coupled with an Intel Core i7-3770 or an AMD Radeon HD 7850 GPU paired with an AMD FX-8350 eight-core CPU.

To play the game in the most advanced settings with upgraded graphics player needs to have the latest DirectX 11 GPU with 2GB or more of memory, the latest eight-core or higher CPU and at least 8GB of RAM. For example the gamers can avail an Nvidia GTX 670 coupled with an Intel Core i7-3930K or an AMD Radeon HD 7970 GPU along with an AMD FX-9370 eight-core CPU.

Watch Dogs is slated for a November release on Xbox 360, One PlayStation 3, 4 and PC.
