‘Younger’ Returns To TV Land In January – Paired With Series Premiere Of ‘Teachers’ (VIDEO)

Original comedies will return to TV Land in January with the sophomore season of "Younger" and the series premiere of "Teachers."

TV Land announced on Wednesday that "Younger" will kick off its second season with a one-hour premiere on Jan. 12 followed by its latest show, "Teachers," about a group of elementary teachers molding young minds while struggling to deal with their own grown-up lives.

"Younger" stars Sutton Foster as Liza, a 40-something divorcée posing as a 26-year-old woman to get a job at a publishing firm. She lives with her best friend Maggie (Debi Mazar) and does her best to fool her boss Diana (Miriam Shor) and co-worker Kelsey (Hilary Duff) that she's young and hip.

Things will get complicated for Liza this season after she let slip to her tattoo artist boyfriend Josh (Nico Tortorella) last season that she's not really 26. She also has to navigate a confusing chemistry with a new boss Charles (Peter Hermann) and the return of her daughter Caitlin (Tessa Albertson) from study abroad.

"Teachers" comes from the comedy group, "The Katydids," made up of ladies all named a variation of "Katie" - Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O'Brien and Kathryn Renée Thomas. The show is based on their popular web series by the same name and is executive-produced by "Community" star Alison Brie and showrunners Ian Roberts and Jay Martel.

Brie will also guest star on the show along with Rob Riggle, Lacey Chabert, Jesse Bradford, Tim Bagley, Sam Richardson, Trevor Larcom and more.

"Younger" premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 10 p.m. followed by "Teachers" at 11 p.m. "Teachers" then moves into its regular spot on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 10:30 p.m. on TV Land.
