Rush the Pitbull, the endearing dog with unique bed-making habits that was featured in this HNGN article, has finally found his forever home. The adorable pitbull puppy was finally adopted by a couple last week, who fell in love with Rush after visiting him in the shelter, according to NY Daily News.
Rush's adoption came after the dog's long saga in the SICSA shelter. Brought to the shelter initially after being rescued off the streets when he was a puppy, Rush was adopted after a couple of months. Sadly, the adoption then was not successful, and he was returned to the shelter, where Rush has stayed ever since, reports The Huffington Post.
Eventually, the homeless pitbull puppy picked up his unique habit, where he would diligently make his bed every day while waiting for someone to adopt him. One of the shelter's staff captured his bed-making habits and uploaded it, where it quickly went viral.
A couple from the area, who lost their dogs earlier in the year, found him online. Visiting the young pitbull in the shelter, Rush's new owners said that they instantly fell in love with the bed-making dog, according to The Daily Mail.
Amusingly, Rush's new mom said that there seemed to be signs that Rush was really meant for them. On the way to the shelter, the couple saw a sign that read, "Rush to be there." However, the two words in the middle of the sign were so small that they read it simply as "Rush there."
"It was a sign on a sign. 'He's our puppy, that's for sure," the woman said.
Looks like Rush's touching story has finally reached a beautiful new chapter, especially since October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.
