The new season of "Scandal" started Thursday, Oct. 3 and in no way did it disappoint. It was fast-paced and packed with shocking revelations. It also left fans wondering what the new season had in store.
A quick recap of the season premiere: Olivia and her relationship with her father, the leader of B613, still continues to baffle fans. They get into at the beginning of the episode when he tries to step in and "fix" her mess once her name was leaked as President's Grant's mistress.
Olivia meets with the President and Mellie and the three come up with a plan to tell a slighted version of the truth to the public - Olivia and Grant only slept together twice. Before they can go public, Pope & Associates come up with their own plan as they try to "fix" their boss's problem. They decide to clear Olivia's name and place the blame on another White House aide, which works.
The leaker was also revealed as President Grant even though he did have a pretty good reason for spilling her name and Cyrus ends the episode by discovering a very dark secret from when President Grant and Jake were in the military.
TV Line was able to get some pretty interesting scoops from the cast when they attended a New York City event. Check it out some of the spoilers below.
Olivia's daddy issues: According to TV Line, the next episode will have flashbacks that will "further inform and make you understand [Olivia's and Rowan's] relationship more," Kerry Washington said. "But it is also devastatingly confusing, because you just don't comprehend how two people could have this dynamic."
She also dropped a hint that another Gladiator will be featured in her flashbacks.
Operation Remington bombshell Cyrus discovered: "It definitely takes a lot to drop Cyrus' jaw," executive producer Betsy Beers said. "
Show creator Shonda Rhimes chimed in and told TV Line that whatever it was that left Cyrus speechless will make the President's affair seem very, very small in comparison. Rhimes also hinted that that the secret mission - which happened a very long time ago - has something to do with Olivia.
"It's complex," Rhimes said. "You discover things on top of things on top of things that really go the heart of who Olivia is as a person."
"If you think about the darkest thing you can imagine about Olivia, it's probably that," Scott Foley, who plays Jake added. "That's how dark Remington is."
Quinn Could be a problem in the future: During the season premiere episode Quinn suggested killing an intern at the White House as the groups fix-it. Everyone open-mouthed starred at Quinn when she suggested murder and that was a big hint at her mindset.
Katie Lowes, who plays Quinn, confirmed to TV Live that she's headed down a pretty dark path.
"The season finale [in which she 'drilled' Billy Chambers] opened up a new side of her, giving her a sense of control she has never felt," she said. "Her altered mindset is apparent and running strong."
Olivia and Fitz's very complicated relationship: It's pretty obvious from the first episode Olivia and Fitz aren't done with each other. But what about their future? Washington revealed that "they'll have to define new rules" and "as more information unravels, their relationship will continue to evolve."
