Justin Theroux stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Thursday night, where the "Leftovers" star jokingly explained that he bought the rights to an "amazing" viral video. That viral video turned out to be the one that featured a drunken University of Connecticut student who demanded mac and cheese at a dining hall on campus.
The movie, entitled "Mad Mac," featured the tagline "Hunger is no game" and Theroux as the 19-year-old drunk college kid in the video named Luke Gatti. The husband of Jennifer Aniston even brought along a trailer for Kimmel's audience to experience. In the trailer, Theroux was joined by "Anchorman" actor and comedian David Koechner as the manager of the restaurant where Gatti demanded "some f--king bacon jalapeno mac and cheese."
"We've got a code for 'drunk and stupid,' over at the student union," a police dispatcher said in the trailer for the fake movie.
The real life Gatti was arrested after his drunken rampage at an UConn dining hall, where he was charged with two misdemeanors-first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach of peace. He was denied service at the campus' Union Street Market because he brought in an open bottle of alcohol.
Since Gatti's arrest, he posted an apology video on YouTube titled "Drunk UConn Student Apology Mac and Cheese." In the video, the UConn freshman admitted that he was "very intoxicated" during the incident and that he was ashamed of himself.
