'Parrotman': British Man Has Ears Removed To Look Like Bird (VIDEO, GRAPHIC PHOTOS)

Talk about extremes! A British man from Bristol has gone over the edge to obtain the look he desires, according to the Telegraph.

To date, Ted Richards, 56, has 110 tattoos, 50 piercings, his eyeballs inked, his tongue split, and most recently - he has had both ears removed in a six hour operation, all to get the desired effect of looking like a parrot.

While he isn't naming exactly which surgeon removed his ears, he is thrilled at the end result, with the exception of when he wears his glasses, as clearly nothing is there to hold them on his head.

Ted, or "Parrotman" as he is often called, has always had an obsession with the feathered beauties and he currently owns five - Ellie, Teaka, Timneh, Jake and Bubi. And he has a girlfriend, who loves the quirkiness of her new man!

"I think it looks really great. I love it. It's the best thing that has happened to me. I am so happy it's unreal, I can't stop looking in the mirror," he said according to the New York Post. "I've done it because I want to look like my parrots as much as possible. I've had my hair long for so many years, my ears have been covered up."

"I am absolutely horrified to learn that someone has voluntarily put themselves forward for this to be done and possibly more so that he found somebody to actually carry it out," said Marc Pacifico, a consultant plastic surgeon and member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, according to the Daily Mail.

"The sad truth of life though is that if you want something badly enough you will eventually find someone willing to do it," added Pacifico.

But the Parrotman has another take on it.

"There's no doubt that when they made me, they broke the mold," Richards said. "But seriously, I love the fact that I'm unique and I have always wanted to be different."
