The Ohio State Buckeyes play the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast HERE. Tune to ABC to watch the live televised broadcast.
The Buckeyes' already dangerous offense received a boost last weekend with the return to the lineup of quarterback Braxton Miller. After missing the previous two games, Braxton returned to complete 17-of-25 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns against Wisconsin. He also rushed for 83 yards, helping Ohio State to a 31-24 win.
"Braxton is a dynamic athlete," Northwestern linebacker Damien Proby said, via the Associated Press. "Anyone who watches the game of football knows he can do things with the ball in his hands and when he's in space. We're just looking to minimize the ground he's able to cover in any given play."
Northwestern's defense could make it hard for Braxton to have a repeat performance on Saturday. The squad is tied for third in the nation with 10 interceptions, including four that were returned for touchdowns, the Associated Press reports.
"It's hard to score on very sound defenses because at some point, they are going to force you to make up a mistake," Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer told reporters. "They are not going to give up the big one and are going to force you to make a mistake."
Still, Northwestern's staunch defense will have its hands full with the Buckeyes, which are in the midst of a 17-game winning streak and ranked fourth in the nation. Ohio has won 28 of the last 29 meetings with Northwestern, according to the AP.
"We don't need to play out of this world," Wildcats quarterback Kain Colter said. "We just need to play our game to be able to win."
