Ankit Gera got evicted from the ninth edition of India's celebrity reality show "Bigg Boss" Sunday night. The TV star became the first contestant of "Bigg Boss Nau" to be eliminated.
The first elimination of this season came after the pairs of Ankit Gera - Arvind Vegda, Rimi Sen - Suyyash Rai, Roopal Tyagi - Digangana Suryavanshi and Yuvika Choudhary - Vikas Bhalla were nominated for eliminations this week.
Ankit hoped that he could make it into the "Bigg Boss" house again through wildcard entry.
"For me, the game and show is still on. I got evicted as it is a rule, but I was not expecting such an early come out," the actor told Indo Asian News Service after his eviction.
"I got to know what is happening inside the house in one week, the people and started moving around. I decided a lot of things to do but I unfortunately came out," said Ankit. "The game is still on. Maybe wild card thing."
Ankit's former girlfriend and "Big Boss" housemate Roopal Tyagi reportedly broke down after her former boyfriend's elimination, according to Bollywoodlife.
Ankit, however, praised housemate and model Rochelle Rao for her conduct in the house.
"I like the way Rochelle is. The chemistry between her and Keith is very good. She is so good and open-minded. Everyone should get a girlfriend like her," he told Press Trust of India, according to IBN Live.
The controversial Indian reality show, hosted by superstar Salman Khan, is often referred as the Indian version of "Big Brother." The ninth edition of the show - "Bigg Boss 9," or "Bigg Boss Nau" - went on air last week.
