Joe Biden is expected to announce his run for presidency Wednesday stated Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Ed Henry on Twitter. He said three sources close to the vice president told him the news, according to Fox News.
Reports say Biden recently told his friends that his son's dying wish was for his father to run for president. Beau Biden, Joe's son, died earlier this year.
Various sources say Biden will make his announcement within the next two days, according to the Mediaite.
The latest CNN/ORC poll shows that Hillary Clinton leads the Democratic candidates with 45 percent of voters' support, Bernie Sanders has 29 percent and Biden has 18 percent even though he has yet to reveal if he would actually be running.
"I'm not sure if a hypothetical number like that really tells you much," said Karlyn Bowman, a polling expert from the American Enterprise Institute in Washington.
However, other polls show that Biden is the most liked of the Democratic candidates, showing that he scored 51 percent positive American views against 37 percent negative, while Clinton had 46 percent positive views and 50 percent negative.
"When someone becomes a real-life candidate, things really change. Will we hear stories about his ability to connect with white males, something that Hillary has struggled with? Will there be a sympathy factor over the death of his son?" asked Bowman, according to the Christian Science Monitor.
