A fourth biker was arrested and arraigned on Sunday on gang assault and other serious charges after allegedly using his helmet to smash in the window of an SUV and beat up the driver in front of his wife and child, NBC reports.

Reginald Chance, 37, played a key part in the beating for using his helmet to smash the front window of Alexian Lien's Rang Rover on Sept. 29. Part of the incident was caught on camera and uploaded to YouTube and shows a group of bikers viciously attacking the SUV.

The attack started after Lien clipped the back tire of Christopher Cruz's motorcycle. Cruz had cut in front of the car and slowed down. The fender bender angered the bikers who began to swarm the car forcing Lien to stop, some of the bikers then began attacking the car.

Lien sped off running over Edwin "Jay" Mieses, who was standing in front of him. The nightmare chase went on for 50 blocks before the SUV was forced to stop again because of traffic. Several bikers rushed towards the car and began using their helmets to smash the windows of the car before dragging Lien out of the SUV and beating him.

A bystander interfered in the fight. According to NBC, Mieses' family have gotten a lawyer who claims he was only trying to help before Lien ran him over.

"His sole intention was to defuse the situation," the family lawyer said adding that doctors were unsure if Mieses would ever walk again.

Mieses suffered a broken spine, torn aortic valve and a punctured lung from the accident. Chance, the main person said to be involved in the beating, faces gang assault charges, criminal possession of a weapon among other charges. A judge has set his bail at $100,000, NBC reports.

Chance's lawyer claims his client did use his helmet to smash the window but did not beat Lien.

"My client obviously overreacted in smashing the window, but beyond that he was not a participant in any assault on the victim," the lawyer said.

Cruz faces charges of reckless driving and unlawful improvement for slowing down in front of Lien. Lien was treated for his injuries and has been released from the hospital. Neither Lien nor his wife was charged with a crime.

Police are still looking for two other bikers connected with the assault.
