'Back To The Future' Day Predictions: What Did The Movie Get Right About 2015 (PHOTOS & VIDEOS)

Today, Oct. 21, 2015, is the future day that Marty McFly travelled to in "Back to the Future II" and some of the movie's predictions were correct (like big screen TVs), but some were not (like expanding dehydrated pizza), according to the AP.

In the iconic movie trilogy, on Oct. 21, 1985, the characters Marty McFly, Doc Brown and Jennifer Parker travel to the future in a time-traveling DeLorean, noted The Wall Street Journal.

The first prediction that has Chicago Cubs fans believing in prophesies is that team win the 2015 World Series. Currently, the Cubs are in the National League Championship series opposing the Mets who have won three games of the 7-game series so far, according to MLB News.

What the movie misses is that the "Jaws" movie franchise reaches up to 19 films that are advertised in a holofax, a hologram-IMAX-movie projection, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Nostalgic fans can re-watch the iconic film on the big screen in theaters in New York City.
