There's some bad news on the horizon for Lego fans out there. The company has come out saying that it's facing a shortage of its Lego bricks, according to CNN Money. This means that the company won't be able to make enough for the upcoming holiday season.
"We will not be able to deliver all of the orders coming from customers in the remainder of the year," said spokesman Roar Trangbaek, according to Reuters.
Sales have spiked recently, and the company has become the number one toymaker in the world, according to the Reuters. The spike in sales and clientele is due in part to the recent "Lego Movie," experts believe. Sales rose by 18 percent over the last year, and ever since, factories have been working at max capacity.
Orders already received will be processed and delivered, but the company warns that it is likely that the factories will not be able to continue with the rising demands, according to CNN Money.
This is not the first time the Danish company has faced a shortage, as Lego found themselves in a similar position during the Christmas season last year, according to Reuters.
There is no word yet on which countries, or which toy lines, will be affected, according to Mirror.
