The latest and greatest "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer premiered during this week's broadcast of Monday Night Football in what some are calling a questionable move. Experts estimate that over 2 million "Star Wars" fans watched their very first football game on Monday due to the new trailer that premiered at halftime. Conan O'Brien and his staff took it upon themselves to imagine what a typical "Star Wars" fan would look like trying to play football.
"As a result a lot of the 'Star Wars' fans that watched last night now love football as much as 'Star Wars,' in fact here is some footage from a pickup game at a local park earlier today," the "Conan" host joked to his audience.
In the clip, fans of "Star Wars" dressed up as their favorite characters, which included Princess Leia, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and many more! While the fans enjoyed their new-found love of the sport, they were still a little confused about the rules of the game.
The fans used a basketball instead of a football and used swords to block their opponents! They finally got their hands on an actual football, but did not take it out of the box so it would not decrease in value. At one point the fan who dressed up as C-3PO decided he cared more about watching the new trailer over and over again more than the game!
