A South Carolina woman took a bite out of crime when she bit off a teen's tongue when he tried to rape her, and now the teen is facing various charges and will be tried as an adult as a result.
The incident occurred on Friday when the victim heard a knock on her door but saw no one there, prompting her to return to bed. The woman heard another knock on the door and the doorbell ringing, so she opted to go outside and spotted a young man holding a knife against his chest, a police report states, according to CrimeFeed.
She screamed upon seeing the boy and tried to get inside the house while locking him out, but the suspect forced his way inside. He then proceeded to pick her up and carry her to the bed after punching her several times, warning her to "stop fighting and I won't hurt you."
The suspect struggled inside the bedroom as he tried to take the victim's shorts off. She kicked him, prompting the aggressor to force his tongue in her mouth after telling her, "Now you have to die!" according to FOX's Colorado affiliate KXRM-TV.
Upon sticking his tongue in her mouth, the victim reportedly "bit his tongue as hard as she could until she heard it snap." The suspect then jumped off the bed, leaving his tongue in her mouth, which she tossed onto the kitchen floor.
She left the house and drove to a nearby business to contact police since she left her phone and tablet at home, reported CBS's South Carolina affiliate Live 5 News. The suspect was found at a nearby Waffle House after his mother had called 911 to give a report of her son "not having a tongue and needing medical assistance."
Police say that the suspect's tongue was located by crime scene investigators and placed into a bag of ice.
The suspect, who was later identified as Antoine Miller, has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree assault, first-degree battery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and first-degree kidnapping. His bond was denied on all charges Saturday.
