A Colombian family vacationing in Colombia took a picture next to the 85-foot high Cristo Rey statute, and they believe an outline of Jesus Christ appeared in the digital image, according to Yahoo News.
Colombian Juan David Montano claimed that he saw a ghostly outline on the digital image of the photo, reported Kate News.
Cali is Colombia's third largest city, stated Colombia Reports. Built in 1953 as a symbol of peace and protection, Cristo Rey is the country's largest statue of Jesus Christ. It stands on top of Los Cristales Hill with a panoramic view of the city of Cali.
Montano was on a family vacation to Cali to see the 85-feet high Cristo Rey when they decided to pose for a snapshot, according to World Net Daily. The 22-year-old said when he looked at the picture on his digital camera and saw a phantom-figure wearing a long white robe in the photo, he was surprised.
"I was stunned," Montano said. "Something like a ghost dressed in white clothes can be seen. When we took the photo, we didn't see anything around us, but when we looked at the image, this shape had appeared."
He said he was frightened and didn't tell any of the people around him. His neighbor suggested it was a ghost in the photo.
"A neighbor who practices Santeria said that it looks fuzzy, because when the photo was taken the ghost was not yet manifested well," Montano said.
The Colombian believes it was not a ghost but Jesus Christ who appeared before his family in the photograph.
