“Beyond: Two Souls” is the second story-driven game the makers of “Heavy Rain” have released for the PlayStation 3, but will it live up to the hype?
In “Beyond: Two Souls”, you will play as Jodie, who begins the game as a little girl struggling with an entity named Aiden, a gift she was "born" with. Though game makers have not revealed how they are exactly connected. Jodie’s parents leave her at a testing facility because of her “problem” and there the story unfolds.
Reviews have yet to be released for the game, seeing as though it will be a difficult one to review without given plot details away. With story-driven games, players make a series of choices to generate an outcome. There are multiple outcomes for each choice, so in order for an accurate review, critics would have to play through every scenario to give you the best critique on the game.
This game also may have a difficult time beating the success of “Grand Theft Auto V”, which was released with stellar reviews for its action-packed game. However, “Beyond: Two Souls” is the complete antithesis of GTA 5, so keep an open mind.
Fans who love RPGs will surely be interested in “Beyond: Two Souls”, which will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
