The kid-friendly Evado Filip smartwatch that is as good as a tracking device is coming to AT&T soon.
The Filip Smartwatch might be of great help in tracking someone's activity especially for parents to their kids.
The water-resistant Filip smartwatch is not just a simple watch. It lets kids keep in touch with their parents and vice versa. It provides parents information about their kids' whereabouts without being to nosy.
During the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, experts demonstrated how to use and calibrate the smartwatch. The smartwatch is simply worn on the wrist like a normal watch. It is Internet-enabled so parents can keep an eagle's eye on their kids through GPS and other means.
Filips smartwatch works well on both Android and iOS devices, which provides an application which parents can use to check their kid's exact location at that moment, set safe areas where they are allowed to visit, or send messages.
Like the conventional phone, Filip smartwatch is also capable of making and receiving calls. Furthermore, not only the parents can call their child.
Filip smartwatch is also easy to use during emergency cases. For instance, if the kid is in an emergency, he can simply press a single button and the gadget will automatically call 5 pre-stored phone numbers consecutively and if there is no one answers, the gadget will then call emergency services. An SMS giving the information of the kid's location will also be sent to those pre-stored phone numbers. Moreover, the noise and sound in the kid's current location will also be recorded and stored.
However, it still isn't clear when will it be out in the market and how much will it cost, so interested buyers should relax and sit back but be attentive until AT&T's announcement on Monday.
A representative of the company said in an e-mail to NBC News, "You will need an AT&T plan and Filip Technologies will announce price and details shortly.
