Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for AMC's "The Walking Dead."
With The Wolves attacking the Alexandria Safe Zone and a gigantic horde of walkers ambling their way towards town, us fans of AMC's "The Walking Dead" should probably be most concerned with the safety and well-being of the main characters. But instead, we can't stop thinking about Daryl Dixon's love life.
Fans have been clamoring for Daryl and Carol to get together given their palpable bond. Some fans even thought Daryl and Beth might have a little thing going. Even actor Norman Reedus has been waiting for some type of a romance on the show. Now, Realty Today is claiming that fans may finally see Daryl and Carol get together.
The two characters have long been connected, starting with season two's desperate search for Carol's daughter Sophia. Daryl was the most devoted to finding her and helped Carol cope with the loss after it was discovered she had been bit by a Walker and Rick was forced to shoot her.
At the prison, it was Daryl who found Carol after a zombie-attack and lovingly carried her away to safety. Last season, Carol accompanied Daryl on his rescue mission of Beth, and helped him get through her tragic death.
Fans have long been hoping for happiness for these two fan-favorite characters. Both suffered abuse in their lives prior to the zombie apocalypse and both have become the best versions of themselves in this dystopian world. Given Robert Kirkman's recent comments about Carol's character and Daryl's immense popularity with fans, it would appear that both will be on "The Walking Dead" for long while longer. Putting them together seems like a natural next step.
What do you think "Walking Dead" fans? Do you want to see Daryl and Carol get together or do you think their better off as lone wolfs? Let us know in the comments section below.
