Microsoft has released Skype Version 4.1.3. iPad and iPhone users who have switched to iOS 7 can download it from the Apple App Store to experience the new design compatible with the new Apple software.
Skype said in a statement, the most recent version on their app focuses on an updated look that is redesigned exclusively Apple iOS 7 interface. Furthermore, it did not forget to make significant changes to the apps, audio features, accessibility and video calling.
Skype proudly flaunted its other general features like a two-step verification process, queuing and delivering chat messages if the recipient appears to be offline, video messaging, and ability to answer calls even in a locked screen (for Windows 8.1).
Many people use Skype through their tablet PCs or smartphones, which have only limited energy sources compared to desktop PCs. Because of that Skype has thought of making its app more energy efficient. Some features were have also been adjusted in relation to some devices that are not connected to the Internet all the time.
The new Skype app’s interface enhancement for iOS7 will surely be one of the main changes. However, Skype users will be more pleased about it when they get more familiar its mechanics. Another great thing about the new Skype app is it has made the version friendly to visually impaired users. Its VoiceOVer feature now works well in group chats and it could even say the sender’s name during messaging. Touch typing support to its dialpad was also included to improve accessibility.
During the fresh release of the new app, Skype has asked its users for comments and reactions. It instructs users to give some reviews and feedbacks through the App Store, Twitter, or Facebook. These actions imply that Skype’s new app for Apple iOS7 will still have further enhancements in the future.
