The Beta version for the open world game Dark Souls II by Namco Bandai will be rolled out by this weekend, confirmed the game developer.
The details of the beta version were revealed on Facebook and players willing to try out their hands at the game will not require any registration.
The beta version will require 3.73 free space on the PS3 HDD as specified in the official page.
The players will be receiving a download code via the PlayStation Network by Oct. 12 and they have to redeem the code to log in. The first beta version will be available to players in America and Europe. More than 5000 players will have the opportunity to play the first phase of the beta version and the service will be purely based on first come first serve basis. However, the progress made on the beta version will not be counted in the original edition of the game.
The beta version aims at collecting maximum feedback on the game and the developers will be incorporating some. Also the beta version will give them a fair idea of the issues faced by the players while playing the game initially and they will be working on the fixes to offer a seamless experience on release, reports explosion.
The second beta version for Dark Souls II will be rolled out on Oct.22. The second beta version will not be limited to any specific region and will be offered to more than 30, 000 players on first come first serve basis.
Dark Souls III is slated for a release in spring next year and will be accompanied by a collector's edition on release. The collector's edition will include the official soundtrack, an art-book, a 12-inch figurine (Warrior Knight Statue) and a fabric map.
