Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is poised for a big weekend in fantasy. The Bills travel to London and will be without a ton of their offensive talent on Sunday, which will force Buffalo to put the ball in McCoy's hands more often.
The Bills face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in the first NFL game to be only broadcasted online. The Jaguars give up over a 100 yards rushing per game, and Bills offensive coordinator Greg Roman will look to get McCoy touches early.
"When you have one of the best running backs in the world, you can't measure that, it's critical," said Roman, via the Democrat & Chronicle.
The Bill will start EJ Manuel for a second straight week, and will also be without Sammy Watkins as he has been ruled out with an ankle injury. Combine that with the loss of Percy Harvin, who is reportedly contemplating retirement after another hip injury, and the Bills offense looks depleted.
"It's just life in the NFL, the best laid plans of mice and man," said Roman. "Injuries are a part of the game, we've been decimated by them, but we feel like we can adapt and survive and we just have to get through this period of time. We have plenty of other options and we have to play a style where we're not hurting ourselves with penalties and stopping drives that way."
With all of these injuries, the Bills are going to rely on McCoy to have a big game. Last week in his first game back since September, McCoy rushed for 90 yards and scored a touchdown. Manuel said that McCoy will be a big part of the passing game this Sunday, according to NFL reporter Marc Sessler. That makes sense, as the Jaguars have the 21st worst passing defense in the NFL, and Manuel will look to take advantage.
McCoy is likely to have a big day in London, and he is a sure-fire fantasy start barring a mid-game injury. McCoy looks to be finding his pace with Buffalo and will be heavily relied on this weekend.
