Consolid, largest travel association in Latin America, signs a long-term partnership deal with Travelport, leading business services and solution provider in the global travel industry, to provide Consolid extended travel support through its global network, reports Breaking Travel News.
Travelport announced its partnership with Consolid Feb. 25. The new partnership will allow Travelport to act as Consolid's travel technology partner allowing access to air, hotel, car rental and cruise lines services to enhance travel experience through its global network, says the news release.
"As Consolid continues to expand in Latin America, we are faced with the challenge of selecting a travel technology partner who can grow and continually evolve alongside us," Joaquin Navasal, General Manger, Consolid, said in a statement. "Travelport's innovative technology, paired with their first-rate customer service, made our choice an easy one."
Consolid started in 2003, has reached great heights in the travel industry forming the leading travel association in the continent with more than 380 offices and 15,000 travel agency clients throughout the region. It currently operates in 13 countries and does an annual business of $4 billion.
Consolid will utilize Travelport's global platform in several Central and South American countries including Uruguay, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, El Salvador, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Guatemala and Panama and United States of America.
