Criss Angel Cancels Performances To Visit Cancer-Stricken Son

The magician Criss Angel has cancelled his upcoming performances in Las Vegas after learning his son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, according to KTNV from Las Vegas.

Angel flew back home to Australia to be with his 20-month-old son, Johnny Crisstopher Sarantakos. He tweeted a photo of him holding his son on Friday night.

"In light of a family emergency the news I was going to announce this weekend will be postponed. Thank you xc," Angel tweeted and also thanked fans for their "thoughts and prayers."

He tweeted on Oct. 19 that news was coming (along with a cute kitten photo).

His scheduled performances at the Luxor Hotel & Casino have been postponed through Nov. 3. He does plan to return on Nov. 4, according to KTNV.

Angel recently appeared on Fox's "Grandfathered." Jimmy (John Stamos) asked him to be the entertainment at his makeup birthday party for his granddaughter Edie.
