Kris Jenner Divorce: Kardashian Matriarch Could Lose Millions If She Files for Divorce from Bruce Jenner; Couple Have Been Separated For a Year

Kris and Bruce Jenner are officially separated after 22 years of marriage. It has been speculated for months that their marriage was on the rocks after the former Olympian was seeing buying his own house on an episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

Kris confirmed the news to US Weekly telling that magazine that she and Bruce split a year ago and the family kept it a secret. Despite their differences she ensures they are still on good terms and are determined to remain friendly for the family's sake.

"We are living apart," she said. "But there is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family. We ended a marriage, but that's not the end of our friendship."

She told US that she will always love Bruce but they simply couldn't make it work anymore and they are both much happier living separately.

Even though the pair has been separated for a year neither one has made a move to file for divorce. According to Radar Online, Kris and Bruce don't have a prenup and the momager is afraid if she divorces her husband she will have to split the Kardashian brand.

Their fortune is estimated to be around $125 million. In the event of a divorce Bruce would legally be entitled to a huge chunk of that money and Kris refuses to part with it.

"This is going to be a very bitter pill for Kris to swallow because when the divorce is finalized, she'll have to split half the family fortune with Bruce," a source told Radar. "Kris demanded that Kim and Khloe get prenups... but in a touch of irony, she didn't get one when she married Bruce."

Among the assets that could be divided is the couple Calabasas, Calif. home - said to be worth millions of dollars and a slew of luxury cars.

Kris isn't the only one trying to protect her fortune. At one point it was said that the former Olympic gold medalist was worth $100 million from endorsements and giving motivational speeches.

"Bruce was the primary bread winner and he provided Kris with a luxurious lifestyle when they were first married," the source said. "He had endorsement deals and was a very popular motivational speaker."

The source said Kris has no idea the Kardashian brand would bring in so much for the family and once it did Bruce would often joke to "Kris that she should have gotten a prenup so he could take anything from her."

"Never in her wildest dreams would Kris ever anticipated she could be losing the family fortune she worked so hard for. She won't give it up without a fight," the source said.

According to Radar, Kris signed a deal with E! in 2012 to keep the reality show on air until 2015 for an estimated $40 million. That doesn't include endorsement deals, the Kardashian Kollection and paid appearances.

"To say Kris is obsessed with money is an understatement," the source said. "She is obsessed with their family mansion and their luxury vehicles."
