Its official - Jason Mraz said "I'm Yours" to girlfriend Christina Carano.
Us Weekly confirmed that the 38-year-old musician and his ladylove secretly tied the knot in front of 50 close family and friends in an outdoor ceremony at the historic Pole Green Church in Mraz's hometown, Mechanicsville, Va.
"Today I was made the luckiest man in the world," Mraz wrote on Instagram Sunday, along with posting a beautiful photo of his bride in her wedding dress surround by the fall trees, foliage and a white structure with the outline of a pitched roof and windows. The bride wore a long-sleeved, white lace, high collar gown along with a floral headband, and clutched a bouquet of flowers.
Mraz changed his Instagram bio to "Singer/Songwriter/Husband."
"We can confirm that Jason Mraz married longtime girlfriend Tina Carano, a former Hermosa Beach, CA, coffee shop owner originally from Royal Oak, MI, yesterday in a private ceremony at the Pole Green Historic Church in Mechanicsville, VA, where Mraz grew up," a representative for Mraz told Us Weekly. "About 50 close friends and family attended the wedding, which took place outside on a beautiful fall day."
The couple reportedly met through mutual friends at Carano's coffee shop in Hermosa Beach, California in 2007; however, at the time, they were both seeing other people. The "Lucky" singer was then engaged to fellow musician Tristan Prettyman.
Mraz and Carano reconnected and began dating in 2011.
In a recent interview with The Osider Magazine, the couple opened up about finally getting to start their relationship.
"After several years of crushing on him, the stars finally aligned and now he's my stud. We've created a really awesome life together and we make a great team," Carano, a former coffee shop owner, said of her then-fiancé. "He's the most loving, generous, and most hardworking man I know. These are the most attractive qualities I could ever ask for in a partner. He inspires me and empowers me every day to live my best life and he cares so deeply about the things that really matter. We're truly blessed in so many ways."
Mraz revealed to the publication that he felt an instant connection to Carano and "admired her integrity and practices since day one."
"I did always say to myself, 'I hope I meet a girl like her someday,'" he said. "In 2011, we both found ourselves single and decided to collaborate. She is whole-hearted in every action, is extremely generous, completely drama-free, and has the most intuitive-genius-mind in the kitchen. Not to mention her smile absolutely melts me."
In 2011, Mraz declared that he would not get married until it became legal for all couples to tie the knot. In June, the Supreme Court ruled gay marriage was legal in all 50 states of the U.S.
Congratulations to the newlyweds.
