A Florida man is attracting attention by camping outside of a Best Buy 33 days before Black Friday, in hopes of getting a great deal on a TV and raising awareness about homelessness, according to ClickOrlando.
Kevin Sutton decided to set up his tent and live outside of an Orlando Best Buy located in the Florida Mall.
He started his camp out Sunday, more than an month before the widely anticipated Black Friday sale starts. Sutton says that he is looking forward to not only getting a deal, but raising awareness on homeless youth, according to People. During his time outside the electronics store he will only be living off the kindness of others, taking food and water donations. He will, however, have use of Best Buy's bathroom during normal business hours. Some of the donations he receives will be going to the Love Pantry, an organization that works with schools to provide meals to children in need. There are an estimated 13,000 homeless children that are helped by the organization, according to UPI. Best Buy is also in support of Sutton's mission, tweeting "Kudos to Kevin Sutton who's camping out at @BestBuy for a cause."
Sutton is also aiming to break the record for camping out in front of a store for Black Friday. The current record is 22 days.
