Black Sabbath Cancels Final Album, 'It's The End,' Says Ozzy

After announcing plans to head back to the studio for a final album late last year, Black Sabbath has confirmed that they won't be making a new album after all and that their upcoming "The End" tour will, in fact, be the end.

"It's the end of Sabbath, believe me," Ozzy Osbourne told the Times-Picayune in an interview about his appearance at New Orleans' Voodoo Fest.

"In December, I'll be f--kn' 68, and I think it's time to call it the end of the day," he continued. "I'm not saying I won't get on stage with Geezer or Tony [Iommi] or any of them some time, but officially we're going to be done. I don't want it to dwindle and dwindle and play just for the sake of making another f--kin' sack full of cash. So it's time, and then I'll go back to doing my own thing."

Osbourne had announced plans for the second reunion album in September 2014. "So we're going to do one more album, and a final tour," he said, according to Metal Hammer.

The "The End" tour kicks off on Jan. 20 in Omaha, Neb., with the first leg of U.S. dates running through Feb. 27. After touring abroad, Black Sabbath will return to North America with their first concert scheduled in Wantagh, N.Y. on Aug. 17 and will end on Sept. 21 in Phoenix, Ariz., according to Rolling Stone.
