Follow along with HNGN as we bring you live updates from the paranormal investigation that aims to prove whether the home where the events that inspired the 1973 film "The Exorcist" took place is really inhabited by demonic entities.

Check back here at 9 p.m. EDT for updates.

9:07 p.m.

The Tennessee Wraith Chasers (TWC) are "geared up, prayed up and ready" to go. Six cameras are set up in various rooms of the home, including the stairway, the dining room, the attic, the basement and the bedroom where Roland Doe's exorcism took place. Now clips are giving fans background information on the house itself and the 1973 film "The Exorcist."

9:13 p.m.

Psychic medium Chip Coffey explained that he will try to contact the spirit of Roland Doe or perhaps one of the priests who performed the famed 1949 exorcism with his séance, to take place later in the episode.

"Anytime you deal with demonology you have to take it very seriously," Bishop James Long said. "And we have taken it seriously, we are dealing with demonic entites whose sole purpose is to hurt people. It's good vs. evil and I promise you, good will win."

9:19 p.m.

The TWC id a sweep from the downstairs to Roland's room with an EMF device. As they enter house, one investigator said "It feels heavy as soon as you walk in here."

They walked through the dining room where the Roland pick up dining table with one of his legs. At that moment, the EMF device gave a message.

"'Potential slave,' is that what you're looking for?" an investigator asked. "Are you here with us?" The also got another EMF spike in the basement.

9:30 p.m.

TWC revealed that they made a devil's toybox, which is a six-sided box with mirrors and it focuses energy on a central focal point. This one is big enough to place someone inside as spirit bait and it has never done before.

"You have to believe in god, you have to have the faith to do this," one said.

9:34 p.m.

Prayer before two members of TWC go inside the house to begin the investigation.

In the dining room, one of the devices emitted the words "plain," then "phantom." The investigators began asking the entity a series of questions like "Are you hanging out with us? Who do you want to talk to in this room? Can you do this for me? Are you a phantom? Can you make some kind of noise to let us know that was you on the periscope?"

Meanwhile, a fan wrote in to report that camera three is shaking, and camera three is placed in the bedroom where Roland Doe's exorcism took place.

9:44 p.m.

Moving upstairs to the attic and the investigators all agreed that they felt a heaviness or a tightness in their chests and throats as they climbed the stairs to the second floor. As they all talked, they heard a "shhhh."

"Why should we hush, we're trying to figure out who you are," an investigator said out loud.

As one investigator climbed up into the attic, the phonetic generator said "leg."

"Is there anybody up here with me that wants to talk?" the investigator asked. A few moments later, a loud, audible creak was captured on the camera's audio and another investigator heard a scream or a squeal.

"Aunt tilly? Are you trying to communication with us?" they asked.

9:50 p.m.

The investigators have moved on to the exorcism bedroom.

"Do you smell smoke? It's like incense," they said as they entered the bedroom.

"What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna sit here on this bed," an investigator said. "I'm gonna lay back and try to get my mind in the same setting that was going on."

Right after he said that, he started to feel like there were spider webs on his face.

"Aunt Tilly, are you here? Are you being held back from speaking with us?" he asked, and everyone agreed that they felt their feet getting ice cold.

10:09 p.m.

Brannon, Chasey and Doogie go back in the bedroom, but didn't have any luck communicating with Aunt Tilly although one of the investigators thought they saw something move.

When the show returns from commercial break, Doogie will enter the devil's toybox.

10:16 p.m.

From inside the devil's toy box, Doogie asks a series of questions and doesn't get any responses.

"I'm in here with you, if you want to come in here with me you can. Come in this box and talk with me," Doogie said. "This is just me and you, this is our conference room."

A few moments pass and Doogie says, "I just heard what I thought was a female. It's getting really heavy in here."

Meanwhile outside, the rest of the team plays back what they think is an EVP from the bedroom where Doogie was laying on the bed. In the playback, it seems like they caught a disembodied voice say "help" or "help me."

10:24 p.m.

Doogie climbing out of the devil's toy box, getting ready to exit the home as psychic medium Chip Coffey prepares to enter.

"The minute that I walked into the house they started evil entities started to curse and swear and threaten it was pretty unnerving," Coffey said. "We're gonna sit around the table where some spiritual practices were done in the house 60 years ago and try to communicate with priests."

"We don't know what's going to happen, wer'e just going in as protected as we possibly can be. The worst-case scenario is they show up and we have to deal with them."

They said a prayer before they went in, then Coffey and his team settled down on the dining room table and they placed candles on top of a Ouija board in preparation for their séance.

10:34 p.m.

Coffey and his team placed their hands on the board with their fingers touching. They called on Matilda (Roland Doe's Aunt Tilly,) and Father Bowdern.

"Communicate with us. Can you show us a sign, a knock. Can you let us know that your presence is with us?"

The candle flame started to flicker.

"It's hard to breathe," Coffey said. "it's definitely cold. My hands are freezing."

"Are you with us Father Bowdern?" he asked again. "Can you show us a sign, a knock, oh I just got hit in the gut."

"He says he's here to protect us," his assistant said.

"Show us that you're here, come and join us in this circle."

10:42 p.m.

Using the spirit board, Coffey and his team removed the candles then placed their hands on the planchette.

"Aunt Tilly can you lets us know that you're here? Are you with us?"

The planchette moved to 'yes.'

"Father Bowdern, Aunt Tilly, are there still evil demonic spirits in this house?"

The planchette moved to 'yes.'

"Can we remove them from this house?"

Planchette moved to 'yes.'

"Is something negative trying to come through on the board?"

The planchette moved quickly to 'yes.'

"Shutting down," Coffey said and got up from the table. "Let's shut this down."

Coffey and team quickly left the house.

11 p.m.

Bells rang to signify the end of the exorcism that took place in 1949 on Roland Doe. The Bishop, under Coffey's suggestion, began another round of prayer to make sure the room was rid of any demonic entities before they left.

"Any evil who remains in this room, we drive you from us," Bishop Long said.

Coffey and Bishop Long repeated the "Our Father" and "Hail Mary" again as they sprinkled holy water around the room.

On their way back outside, both complained of stomach and back pain.

"We expected it to be intense," Bishop Long said once outside. "But we stood our ground, I feel very very good about this. I think with the power of God, anything will work and yes I do believe we were successful this evening."
