‘Glee’ Season 5 Spoilers: Cory Monteith/Finn Hudson Tribute Storyline Revealed, Episode Will be a Tear-Jerker

"Glee's" Cory Monteith/Finn Hudson tribute airs tonight (Oct. 10) and from all the spoilers and sneak peeks the episode seems like it's going to be a definite tear jerker.

The episode, titled "The Quarterback," begins a few weeks after Finn's death. It won't reveal how Finn died or the funeral. According to E! News, sources revealed the storyline will focus on someone stealing Finn's letterman jacket and Mr. Schue inviting everyone to pay tribute to him by singing songs.

As previously reported Lea Michele, who plays Rachel, won't appear until the end of the episode to sing Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love."

She recently told Australia's TV Week that she thought the episode was "perfect."

"I haven't seen it yet, but we did it because it was something we all needed to do together," she told said. "Everyone is asking: 'Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?' but the truth is it's no harder at work than it is in life so we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together."

Show creator Ryan Murphy told E! that the show was extremely hard to do and most of the scenes were shot with only one take because it was difficult for the cast to do multiple takes on set that day.

"It was very difficult... But it was done with a really pure feeling of love for [Cory] and I think that's what that episode is about; treasure your friendships when you have them because one day they're not going to be there," he said. "And for young people in particular, I think that's a really sweet, kind message."

Murphy also addressed rumors that he and Michele wanted to exclude Dianna Agron (Quinn) from being involved in the tribute. He said actors reached out to him to come back for the tribute episode and it was simply based off of their availably and schedules. Agron was not available at the time of the shooting so she didn't ask to come back.

"When you write something like that there's no right way to do it," Murphy said. "So we wrote it. We put people who were under contract to the show in it. And a lot of the actors contacted me and said, I just loved him so much can I just please be a part of it? So we put those people in."

A source pointed out to E! that the actress did attend Monteith's funeral and is still "very much a part of the 'Glee' family and remains friends with the cast."
