Four Texas Men Shot Dead in Paris: Police Find Bloody Quadruple Homicide in House North of Dallas

Four Texas men were found shot dead in a house in a city north of Dallas, after a woman called 911 to report she'd seen "someone bleeding."

According to the Paris Police Department, a female called at around 11:23, saying "it sounds like somebody said that somebody got shot." Once officers arrived at the scene, they found four victims lying in the front room of the home, each with gunshot wounds, the Imperial Valley Press reported. Paris police Chief Bob Hundley Jr. told the IV Press that investigators have classified the killings a quadruple homicide. They have no information on a motive, but have ruled out the option of suicide Reuters reported.

The deceased are 18-year-old Romello Dewain Steward, 21-year-old Devante Larry Atkins, 24-year-old Brijonne Rashad Woods and 32-year-old Billy Charles Carey, according to local ABC station KLTV. Carey was from Garland, Texas, while the other four victims lived in Paris, a city located about 100 miles north of Dallas.

The woman who made the initial call to police was at the house when police officers arrived. Department spokesperson Officer Curtis Garrett told IV Press that the woman, who has remained anonymous, was questioned by authorities, but does not live in the house.

"I think she just found the scene," he said.

Two other men who were acquaintances of the four deceased visited the house earlier in the evening, and were also questioned by police. One was arrested on an unrelated charge, Hundley told Reuters.

Investigators worked with Texas Ranger Stacey McNeal at the crime scene during the night, and eventually finished at the scene around 8:05 a.m.
