The Chicago Bears could make a big move before the trade deadline this Tuesday, and while Matt Forte is the big name everyone is talking about, teams are reportedly interested in kicker Robbie Gould and linebacker Willie Young, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
The Bears have reportedly shopped Forte around the league for weeks now, but he will reportedly only be dealt for the right price. Forte is an unrestricted free agent in 2016, and it's unknown if any NFL team will take a chance on the soon to be 30-year old back. Forte is still a force in the league, rushing for 507 yards this season, and also has 21 receptions for 191 receiving yards. NFL teams tend to think that they can find running backs in the draft, and the amount the Bears are likely looking for doesn't seem to be gaining too much interest.
Linebacker Young is making progress this season for the Bears, and it is drawing attention from other teams. Young could bring a strong pass rush to a 4-3 team and has reportedly been requested in a trade from another NFL team, according to La Canfora. The Bears reportedly stated that they were not interested in trading Young, but that could change before Tuesday. Young got his first sack of the season against the Chiefs on Oct. 11 and looks to have a promising future in this league.
Young isn't the only player targeted by other teams before the deadline, as kicker Gould is reportedly being sought by playoff-contending teams, according to La Canfora. Gould has been with the Bears for 11 seasons, and it's hard to imagine him playing for any team but Chicago. The Bears are 2-4 going into Sunday's game with the Vikings, and they look to be in rebuilding mode. It's unclear if the Bears will trade Gould or Young before the deadline, but it's clear that teams are interested.
