On Halloween night, a deadly car crash claimed the lives of three people, one of which was a 10-year-old girl, according to the Associated Press. Officials are looking into the accident, trying to find out if a medical condition played a role in the accident.
Police believe that the driver might have lost control of their car as a result of a seizure or some other unidentified medical condition, according to USA Today.
The driver, a 51-year-old man, allegedly hit another vehicle with his car before crossing the double-yellow lines and jumping the curb along Morris Park Avenue in New York City, according to USA Today. He hit six people in the process.
A 10-year-old girl, her 65-year-old grandfather, and another 24-year-old-man were killed, according to the Guardian. Another three-year-old girl, a nine-year-old girl, and a 21-year-old woman were injured.
The driver is currently in stable condition, and has yet to be charged with any crime, according to USA Today.
A candlelight vigil was held for the victims hours later, according to the AP.
