Special Agent Meredith Brody's mother is headed to the Big Easy to assist the NCIS team on a ticking clock case that hinges on finding a stolen heart for a transplant recipient.
On this week's episode of "NCIS: New Orleans," Annie Potts guest stars as Olivia Brody, who employs a genius Navy coder whose life hangs in the balance when the heart intended for his transplant is stolen. She will join her daughter Meredith (Zoe McLellan) and the NCIS team as they race to locate the missing organ.
The Brody matriarch looks to make herself at home working alongside Meredith and her fellow colleagues Special Agents Pride (Scott Bakula) and Lasalle (Lucas Black). She's even commandeered her daughter's computer in one of the first look photos from the episode.
Olivia's appearance will stir up some old emotions for her daughter concerning Meredith's late twin sister. Agent Brody and Sebastian (Rob Kerkovich) recently discovered that her sister's death may have been murder rather than death by a drunk driver.
"Right now we're doing an episode with Annie Potts playing my mom which is amazing. I'm doing this mother daughter stuff with her and I'm like, 'Whoa, this is some loaded stuff here,'" McLellan told Headlines & Global News in September. "The mom stuff is really cool, really fun stuff."
