Fans have waited 25 years for a "Twin Peaks" revival and they'll have to wait at least one more year. Showtime has pushed the target premiere for the limited-run series from 2016 to 2017.
CBS Corp. chief Leslie Moonves announced the scheduling change on Tuesday during CBS's third-quarter earning conference call. He believes the reboot from the original creators David Lynch and Mark Frost will drive subscriptions for Showtime's standalone digital service.
Kyle MacLachlan and other "Twin Peaks" stars from the '90s cult series are lined up to return.

Familiar Faces Return for 100th Episode of "Once Upon A Time"
"Once Upon a Time" will welcome back a few familiar faces when the ABC drama celebrates its 100th episode in early March. Giancarlo Esposito will return as Sidney Glass a.k.a. Magic Mirror, Barbara Hershey will reprise her role as Regina's mother Cora and Robbie Kay flies back in as Peter Pan, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The landmark episode will also be the first appearance by Greg Germann, who will start his recurring role as "The Distinguished Gentlemen," according to TVLine.
NBC Orders Additional Episodes of "Blindspot" And 3 More Dramas
NBC has added episodes to freshman series "Blindspot" and Dick Wolf's dramas "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D.," bringing their season totals to 23 episodes. "Blindspot" was the first show of the fall to receive a full season order.
BBC Developing TV Series Based on Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials"
BBC One will adapt Philip Pullman's trilogy, "His Dark Materials," epic fantasy novels set in a parallel universe, according to BBC News. The three books include "Northern Lights," "The Subtle Knife" and "The Amber Spyglass," the first of which was adapted into the 2006 film, "The Golden Compass."
"It's been a constant source of pleasure to me to see this story adapted to different forms," Pullman told the BBC News. "It's been a radio play, a stage play, a film, an audiobook, a graphic novel - and now comes this version for television."
NBC Developing U.S. Version of U.K.'s "Collision"
Another British TV show import is coming to the U.S. NBC is developing a drama based on the U.K. series "Collision," which is about a group of strangers whose lives are forever changed following a major road accident, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Anthony Horowitz, the creator of the original series, will serve as the showrunner for the proposed 10-episode order for NBC.
