Like the character himself, Marvel's "Doctor Strange" has been shrouded in mystery ever since it was added to the MCU slate. But with an incredibly talented cast - Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, etc. - and a promising story that will expand the MCU's horizons, fans are still excited despite the lack of details.
That excitement should only increase with today's minor news.
Cumberbatch was seen filming scenes for "Doctor Strange" today in Nepal. Twitter user Prayush Khadka snapped a pic of the "Sherlock" star and shared a photo of a rather scruffy looking Cumberbatch online.
If the look of the character and the location is anything to go by, it appears as if Cumberbatch is currently filming scenes prior to his character gaining his powers.
In the comics, Stephen Strange is the world's most renowned surgeon before a car accident injures his hands so badly that he is unable to wield a scalpel. He searches the globe for a cure but instead finds something more magical than he ever thought possible. The Nepal setting could be where he finds the Ancient One (Swinton) who bestows upon him the knowledge of the mystical arts.
"Doctor Strange" is set to be released exactly one year from today.
