If you’re like me, then you’ve been waiting for things to go sideways on “The Good Wife”.
Alicia’s (Julianna Margulies) leaving to start a new firm. Diane (Christine Baranski) just threw Will (Josh Charles) under the bus to get in the good graces of the Chief Justice Virgil Ryvlan (Jeffrey DeMunn). Peter (Chris Noth) essentially fired someone because they were too hot. Grace (Makenzie Vega) is now widely known as the Governor’s sexy daughter.
Eventually something has to go extremely wrong.
Well, according to a sneak peek given exclusively to the Entertainment Weekly website, the fallout finally begins tomorrow.
In the video, Alicia is walking past Will and Diane’s office and overhears them arguing. Apparently, Will found out what Diane said about him and it’s time for her to leave.
“You want to end it this way,” she asks him.
“Diane, you ended it,” Will replies. “Now go be a judge, we have work to do here.”
If you recall in last week’s episode, Eli (Alan Cumming) left a message for Diane which said she no longer had to do the interview. Unfortunately for her, she got the message a bit too late.
This is only the beginning for poor Will. He’ll soon find out that not only did his partner betray him but so did the woman he used to (and probably still does) love.
The show’s co-creator Robert King recently told TVLine.com, Alicia and Will are going to eventually go up against each other in court following her departure.
“There’s going to be a whole act where they use what they know about each other from their love affair in a courtroom battle,” said King. “They’re going to basically undercut each other every step of the way.”
It seems like this season is going to be a hard one for Will. Could this end in his last season on the show?
“The Good Wife” airs Sundays at 9/8c on CBS.
