Eddie Murphy's Girlfriend Paige Butcher Is Pregnant With His Ninth Child

Eddie Murphy is going to be a dad — again! The 54-year-old Oscar-nominated actor is expecting a child with his longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher, confirmed E! News. This will be the comedian's ninth child, but his first with Butcher.

A rep for the actor told E! News Wednesday that the couple, who have been dating for four years, "are pleased to announce that they are expecting a child in May."

"He couldn't be happier. Eddie really is a family man and loves all of his children, so he's so excited about having another one on the way," a source close to the comedian exclusively told Daily Mail Online.

Murphy welcomed his first child, 26-year-old Eric, into the world with former girlfriend Paulette McNeely. He then had another son, 25-year-old Christian, with former girlfriend Tamara Hood. His next five children were with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell: Bria, 25, Myles, 22, Shayne, 21, Zola, 15, and Bella, 13. His youngest child is 8-year-old daughter Angel whom he had with Spice Girl Melanie "Mel B" Brown.

"Even though he has eight children by four different women, they all come together on holidays and for sporting events and hang out at his mansion as one big blended family," the source told Daily Mail Online. "All of the children love each other dearly and the women, having all moved on with their own relationships, co-exist very well together."

In 2013, Butcher opened up to Vanity Fair about getting unwanted attention over her relationship with the "Coming to America" actor.

"I'm in a relationship with a celebrity, so I felt like there's already enough of me out there," she told the publication. "I felt like I was giving out too much information. I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now. As you say, people will use anything against you. The more you put out, the more you get back. I just wasn't using it. And I was really boring. I would just post my volunteer work."
