Martha Hunt is the very lucky model who has been chosen to wear not only her first-ever Angel wings at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion show, but also one of the show's top honors.
The 26-year-old model is among the 12 new Angels for the 2015 show, alongside Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, and she's already been deemed worthy enough to wear the elite bling-filled Swarovski lingerie, according to E! News. This is the second highest honor in the entire show, coming right after the model that gets to wear the Fantasy Bra, which will be Lily Aldridge this year.
The Swarovski corset has more than 90,000 gold, red, emerald and blue crystal beads and pendants created by Parisian couturier Serkan Cura. "I know [in advance] who will wear each look," Cura told WWD of his design process. "I take all the measurements, I make all the composites. It's why you can see that everything fits perfectly, and the Swarovski crystals won't hurt [the models'] skin...Everything is perfectly done. We gave so much energy and passion into each look."
Even the 19-pound wings Hunt will be wearing will be some of the most spectacular in the show with 20,00 crystal embellishments, 130 feet of LED lights, 1,200 individual lights and a hidden battery pack.
"I've worn wings before, but these are special," Hunt told WWD. "They're heavier than ever before and light up like a firework..."
