“The Tomorrow People” pulled me in last Wednesday (or should I say pushed me in) and I’m ready for more.
In last week’s episode Stephen (Robbie Amell) decided to go undercover to stop his uncle from the inside on Ultar. This week, he might regret that idea.
In the promo for Wednesday’s episode, Jedekiah (Mark Pellegrino) and Ultra are going up against a 17-year old who is apparently causing some havoc. He may be stealing from banks and at some point he even forces, with his powers, a security guard to fire his weapon in the air randomly.
Jedekiah and Stephen seem to differ on what to do with this particular tomorrow person. Stephen doesn’t think the kid should receive the punishment of death. Uncle Jedekiah on the other hand, thinks the kid should die.
“I’m not helping you execute a kid,” Stephen tells his uncle.
“I’m not offering you a choice,” Jedekiah responds.
The promo does prompt some questions—especially one in particular. Why don’t they just capture the 17-year old and inject him with the serum that makes him normal? Does Jedekiah think the kid doesn’t deserve it? Is he saving it for certain people because Ultra doesn’t have enough? Or does the serum not actually make Tomorrow People human?
The first season of “The Tomorrow People” could be a fairly exciting one. At least the first eight episodes will be. You can watch below the Comic-Con sizzle real showing scenes from those eight episodes.
“The Tomorrow People” airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
