The chief executive of Burberry will leave the luxury company in 2014 to become senior vice president for tech giant Apple's retail and online stores.
Angela Ahrendts has worked at Burberry for nearly 10 years, and is known for turning the brand into a firm recognized worldwide, the BBC reported. Christopher Bailey, Burberry's current chief creative officer, will take Ahrendts' place.
This isn't the first time Apple has dipped into the world of couture to recruit new employees - three months ago, the technology company took on former Yves Saint Laurent chief executive Paul Deneve for "special projects."
According to the BBC, spectators have whispered that these changes have come in preparation of Apple's production of the iWatch, which will require a fashion guru's eye for design in conjunction with the tech and engineering aspects of the gadget.
Ahrendts told the BBC that it was "an honor" to have spent the past 10 years working at Burberry.
"Burberry is in brilliant shape. I am confident that Christopher, as one of this generation's greatest visionaries, will continue to lead Burberry to new heights," Ahrendts stated.
Meanwhile, Christopher Bailey claimed he was both "moved and humbled" to become to the chief executive of the luxury brand. He will still act as chief creative officer, in addition to his new position.
"We have a clear strategy to build on, an increasingly powerful brand and an inspiring management team," he reported.
Burberry chairman Sir John Peace told the BBC that Ahrendts and Bailey will keep in close contact with one another in the next few months to make sure that the changes move along smoothly.
"I have no doubt that Christopher's vision and leadership, with the excellent management team in place, will keep Burberry on the forefront creatively, digitally and financially," Peace said.
According to a report from CNN Money, Ahrendts was the highest paid CEO in the U.K. in 2012.
