That was quick! A judge has granted the wife of "Mr. Bean" actor Rowan Atkinson a divorce in 65 seconds, according to The Telegraph.
Atkinson's wife, 54-year-old ex-BBC make-up artist Sunetra Sastry, was reportedly granted a "quickie divorce" due to the actor's "unreasonable behavior," which a legal expert reportedly told the newspaper is the most common cause for divorce in the United Kingdom.
It also doesn't help that the 60-year-old "Mr. Bean's Holiday" actor has allegedly been dating actress Louise Ford for the past 18 months, according to Us Weekly. Atkinson was reportedly having an affair with Lord, who he met on the set of the play "Quartermaine's Terms," while he was still married to Sastry.
Sastry filed for divorce from the English actor last year after 24 years of marriage and cited his "unreasonable behavior" as her resason for separation. The two had been married since 1990 and have two children together, 22-year-old Ben and 20-year-old Lily.
Atkinson was not present for the court proceeding in London's Central Family Court on Tuesday.
"This divorce has been on the cards for a while after Sunetra was deeply upset to be replaced by such a younger woman," a source told The Sun. "Rowan has sorted the family out financially ... The divorce took its time so everybody is happy with it and they can all move on."
The divorce will not be final until Sastry applies for the decree absolute after a six-week waiting period.
