Gisele Bündchen slammed divorce rumors that were circulating around her six-year marriage with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady while he was under investigation for "deflategate." The Victoria's Secret model also opened up about the bombshell secret that almost tore the couple apart in a new interview with CBS's "This Morning" host Charlie Rose.
Brady's ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan revealed that she was pregnant with Brady's son, now 8-year-old John Moynahan, in 2007, People reported. The shocking secret came to light just three months into Bündchen's relationship with the NFL star.
"It was a challenging thing because here I am, you know, thinking I'm dating this guy, we met, and we started dating and everything is great and then this happens," Bündchen told CBS. "So, then I felt like I didn't know what to do. It was kind of one of those moments of like, 'Do I just run away?'"
Even though Bündchen did consider leaving Brady, the 35-year-old chose to stick it out with him. The couple married in 2009 and have two children of their own, 5-year-old Benjamin and 2-year-old Vivian. But even though Brady's son John isn't biologically hers, Bündchen is still happy to play a role in his life.
"I think, now, eight years later, I couldn't have asked for a sweeter bonus child," Bündchen said.
The model and her football player hubby have had their share of ups and downs, most recently Brady's "deflategate" scandal that resulted in a four-game suspension for the New England Patriots, that was later overturned. Rumors of marital problems throughout Brady's controversy swirled, but Bündchen has put them to rest.
"I think we've been through a few tough times together," she told CBS, laughing. "No matter how challenging it was, we've always been supportive of one another, and I think that's the most important thing you can have in life - a support system and love."
