President Barack Obama condemned the series of deadly attacks across French capital Paris Friday night, calling them an "outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians."
The U.S. president, in his reaction to the Paris bloodshed, described the multiple terror attacks in the French capital as "heartbreaking" and an act that affects the entire world, according to a White House press release.
"Once again, we've seen an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians. This is an attack not just on Paris, it's an attack not just on the people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share," Obama said in a press conference.
He also assured the French government and people that the U.S. is "prepared and ready" to give whatever assistance is needed, according to Fox News.
"We're going to do whatever it takes to work with the French people and with nations around the world to bring these terrorists to justice, and to go after any terrorist networks that go after our people," said Obama. Watch Obama's full remarks below.
More than 150 people have been killed and several others injured in a series of deadly attacks in Paris Friday night, according to RT. The French government declared a state of emergency across the country following the attacks, some of them reportedly inspired by the Islamic State jihadist group.
The worst of the at least seven coordinated terror attacks across the city took place at the Bataclan theatre in Paris, where American rock band Eagles of Death Metal were performing Friday night, as HNGN previously reported. At least 100 fans were killed when armed gunmen opened fire at the theatre.
