U2 announced it has canceled its concert at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris on Saturday, Nov. 14 due to the terrorist attacks that took place across the French city on Friday, Nov. 13. HBO planned to broadcast the event live and will do so when the band and Live Nation find an appropriate time to reschedule.
"We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight," U2 wrote in a statement on their website. "We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe."

U2 had four concerts scheduled at the Parisian venue as part of its Innocence + Experience tour. The first two concerts took place on Nov. 10 and 11. Another concert is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 15, but the band has not commented on whether they will perform that night or not.
At least 6 locations across Paris reported attacks including gun shots and explosions, according to The Guardian. More than 150 people are feared dead from the series of attacks and another 200 people could be injured, 80 of them seriously.
The largest loss of life took place at the Bataclan, a music venue that was hosting the Eagles of Death Metal, an American band. As many as 120 people died in the concert hall and more were taken hostage before police raided the building. Three attackers detonated suicide belts.
The Paris prosecutor reported that the five attackers had been "neutralized."
