Ronday Rousey's much-anticipated fight Saturday night at UFC 193 against Holly Holm came just as advertised. The scuffle that went down at weigh-ins the day before followed the pair into the cage, where Holm finally proved to the world that Rousey is, in fact, a mere mortal, causing Rousey to bleed early and continuing her shockinginly effective display by striking her way to a victory over the formidable and formerly unbeatable Rousey in the second (see the knockout blow for yourself below).
Holm, a former professional boxer, entered the match with a career 9-0 record. Rousey loses her perfect career mark, and now has a 12-1 record after failing to take care of Holm.
Going into the match, "Rowdy" Ronda had won her last three fights in a combined 64 seconds. Her entire 12-fight UFC career had lasted a total of 25 minutes and 36 seconds.
Against Holm though, things were very different for Rousey. She lost the first round by most accounts, 10-9, and was very noticeably bleeding from her mouth. It wasn't long into the second that Holm put Rousey down for good, staking her claim to the UFC bantamweight belt.
