Still waiting for Ziva David to return on "NCIS?" Well, you probably have to wait a while longer but Cote de Pablo did reunite with former co-star and on-screen love interest Michael Weatherly on Saturday night.
"NCIS" director Dennis Smith tweeted a photo of him alongside de Pablo who had her arms wrapped tight around. Weatherly retweeted the photo captioned, "Ok so how much fun did I have last night?" but neither of them mentioned where they snapped the pic.
De Pablo was in Los Angeles this past week to promote her new film, "The 33," about the 33 Chilean miners who were trapped for 69 days underground in 2010. She plays Jessica Vega, the wife of trapped miner Álex Vega (Mario Casas).
Earlier this fall, "NCIS" executive producer Gary Glasberg stated there were no plans to have de Pablo's character return.
"There'll definitely be some surprise appearances of people from our 'NCIS' past, but Ziva David is not one of them," Glasberg told TVGuide.com in September.
One of those surprise appearances took place during last Tuesday's episode when Tony reunited with his ex-girlfriend Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson) when her husband went missing in South Sudan. They retrieved her husband safely, but Jeanne's lingering kiss on Tony's cheek could lead to Thompson's return sooner rather than later.
"NCIS" airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
