Lorde's performance on "Saturday Night Live" with Disclosure on Nov. 14 was so good that some viewers started accusing her of lip-syncing during the taping of the show. However, the New Zealand singer took to social media to address claims that she wasn't singing live on the episode, according to Billboard.
The day after the show aired, the "Royals" singer addressed the allegations on Twitter. "wow - the fact that some people thought i was lip syncing on snl is an awesome compliment! goes without saying i have never/will never haha," she wrote.
Her following tweet read, "we're just a bunch of kids from far away places and we played on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! it's all a bit overwhelming and i'm crazy grateful."
This isn't the first time the singer has been accused of lip-syncing. Last year, during a performance at the Grammy's, Lorde forgot to place the microphone up to her lips after the music cut out, according to Daily Mail.
