Passenger Restrained During British Airways Flight

A passenger was restrained during a British Airways flight Tuesday from London to Logan International Airport in Boston. Police presence was requested after the plane landed.

British Airways Flight 213 was able to land safely Tuesday afternoon. Massachusetts State Police went into the aircraft after a female passenger was reported to have attempted to open the plane's exit door, according to CNN. She was restrained afterwards.

"A passenger on British Airways Flight 213, a 777 en route from Heathrow to Boston, tried to open an exit door and has been restrained," the Federal Aviation Administration stated, CBS News reported.

The female passenger was identified as Kamila Dolniak, 32, a Polish citizen. Despite the incident, the police assessed that the passenger's action were not connected to terrorism, according to Fox News.

One passenger was able to capture the moment in which Dolniak was assisted off the plane.

"Investigation determines passenger was intoxicated, tried to open EXIT door, not cockpit door. No known nexus to terrorism at this time," Massachusetts State Police said in a tweet.

Witnesses say that Dolniak "will most likely face charges of at least interfering with the flight crew," according to USA Today.

British Airways released a statement regarding the incident.

"Our customers and crew deserve to have a safe and enjoyable flight and we do not tolerate abusive behavior. Our crew have requested that police meet the flight in Boston due to an unruly customer on board," the statement read, ABC News reported.

Despite being intoxicated, there is no further motive as to why Dolniak attempted to open the aircraft's door.
