The Pittsburgh Penguins visit the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday. The game starts at 7 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast HERE / HERE or watch the live stream HERE*.
Pittsburgh (5-1-0) hopes to continue its explosive start behind the efforts of Sidney Crosby, who has five goals and seven assists for a league-high 12 points.
"I try to evaluate myself not only on points, but on other things going on out there," Crosby told NHL.com. "But it's nice to see them go in early on."
Penguins' Chris Kunitz readily admitted the team goes as Crosby goes.
"Everything goes through (Crosby)," Chris Kunitz said, via ESPN. "... Anytime the puck is on his stick we look pretty good out there."
Philadelphia, meanwhile, has gotten off to a terrible start. The Flyers (1-6-0) have been unproductive on offense, averaging just 1.4 goals per game, ESPN reports. Despite having only one win, a 2-1 victory against the Florida Panthers, captain Claude Giroux is confident his team is improving with each game.
"We played the best game (yet in Tuesday's loss)," said Giroux, via NHL.com. "It's frustrating. ... We are getting better every game, that's how we all look at it, it's a fact. If anybody knows anything about hockey, they'll know we played a good game (Tuesday). We played our best game and it's a good thing coming right now. ... The frustration is there, but at the same time I'm going to look at the videos (Wednesday) ... we played a good game."
